I wanted to draw something... and look, I made it all the way through!
Image is of the tremendously famous (and desirable) =guyver47 facing off against one of her old buddies—and a character of mine—Guyver X. Well, Neo Guyver X if you want to be technical about it. Took me forever to do this, but I like how it came out. Originally it had text... very simple, but the idea being that Guyver47's gritting her teeth in a "Seriously? He has still more power!" kind of look, and Guyver X getting into the power-charging by laughing at the look on her face (hence his head back in the image like he's howling or something). We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.  reports, 1d 20h agoThis newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and *Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. |

I love the lighting effects you did on the front of G47's armor coming from the energy field around Guyver X. The bolts of electricity scattered around his body, as well as the bits of earth levitating into the air, are a nice touch.
I love G47's angry sneering expression as she prepares for the next move. I love her braided hair and the color choices you explained in regards to the hair band.
The colors and shading look so crisp. You can definitely tell that you put a lot of time and effort into this artwork, especially as shown in the area of ground with the small lines of texture and the delicate weight of the outlines.

I'm really glad you like this picture. I was worried what with Guyver47's more muted effects to her power level that just wondering on about the level that X was going to wouldn't be enough. When she's in the armour, power or no, the visual representation of it is very low.
Hehe... I think I clocked almost 20 hours into this... now I need to figure out how to do this and do it faster...
